Think. Act. Become.

As 2018 winds down, reports by one of the major news media in Nigeria indicate that, “the received wisdom out there is that the economic headwinds of the outgoing year vis-à-vis projections for the incoming year does not bode well for the economy with the falling share prices, unfavourable monetary policy regime, staggering inflation, growing investor apathy, weakening naira, political uncertainty amongst other indices.”  In summary, they are saying that the road in 2019 would be rough and might equally be tough.

These might be the facts, but is that the #truth? The truth is that in times when things seem tough, opportunity presents itself, and only the prepared will cash in.  It is commonly said that “when preparedness meets opportunity, the result is breakthrough.”

The question that you need to ask yourself is, “what am I doing to prepare for 2019?”  NOW is the time to take time off to strategise how to face 2019.  If you can afford it, my advice is to take at least 3 (three) days before the end of 2018 in order to strategise and plan for 2019.

Succeeding in the New Year would require you to work on yourself. You need to do a whole lot of things such as:
1. Have a new mindset. What you think is what you will become.
2. Have a plan of action. If you don't then failure might be staring you in the face.
3. Develop your learning agility skill. Be open to learn, and apply how others were able to rise, shine and become.
